The steering wheel on my mk2 406 is badly worn so am looking at getting a new one, anybody know if a wheel from a 407 would fit without any (much) playing about? Found this http://www.thepeugeotshop.co.uk/product ... eel_9646H4 so far...

I don't know if a 407 wheel fits straight into a 406 or not.

But the 306 wheel looks exactly the same as mine and theres lots of 306s at the scrappies. So theres a good chance of getting a replacement for sensible money, which £250 isn't, to my mind.

That place looks like a main stealers, so I'd just ask them, " will this wheel fit in my 406?", before shelling out that kind of money.

I wouldn't pay £250 for a steering wheel, i think my gf would try to remove parts of me with a rusty spoon.......
I'll keep an eye out for a sensible priced normal leather one, can never seem to find any at my local scrappy unfortunately.
I did actualy email them to ask if the wheel would fit a 406 incase i ever got luck on ebay but no answer.

If you mean the 406 Coupem, externally, the coupe steering wheel is identical. Apart from on the D8 coupe where you have thumb slots to make it look sporty.
The D9 coupe steering wheel looks identical to that of the D9 saloon.
Seeing as they used the saloon dashboard in the coupe as well as most of the electrics, its a fair bet the coupe steering wheel will fit the saloon.

I got a good condition wheel from a 406 with the airbag £20 plus P&P

My 406 does'nt have a leather s/wheel but I have a leather one from a late 405 with air bag will this fit ?
