i pressure washed the wheel arches after going down a few muddy lanes in the week-then noticed a damp patch where the rear seat belts come throught the seat base, had a good look round but cant find the ingres point-any ideas? there was a fair bit of water in the well too-my suspicions are the rear suspension area.

In my D8 estate there's a rubber bung under each rear outer seat squab under a lump of mouldy sound deadening (over the tank). Both of them had come loose and let water in. I glued them down with mastic.

weakness is may be the rear light surrounding rubber or boot lid rubber. water drips into the boot precisely the left most parcel shelf and underneath the carpets it goes to rear seats and stack there. remove the seat and dry it otherwise it'll start corroding. check inside the boot for damps after a pressure wash
