Seat Swap

Post by Alzay »

Will a leather interior from a 1998 V6 3.0 saloon fit my 2000 1.8 Rapier saloon?
I've got a chance of one with the door cards.

Dunno about the seats, but the door cards won't fit as-is. For one the switch panel on the D8 is different to that of the D9.

Well there's your problem... An angle grinder's hardly a substitute for a big f*** off hammer now, is it? :P

Seats:

Front will fit...

Rear... seat covers will fit, if they are two piece seats... break the rear seats down to their leather skins and filling and then simply replace the ones on your original valour.... :8

Hm, I am really confused now. Some people said that my replacement leather seats are from a D9 and they fitted fine into my D8 - both front and rear.

I guess the seats were from a D8 after all (front ones have Rover type stripes on the seats as opposed to plain ones)
2003 - 2008: 1998 Peugeot 406 2.1 TD 110bhp LX Saloon
2008 - 2009: 2004 Honda Accord 2.2 CDTI 136bhp Executive Saloon
2009 - 2013: 2002 Peugeot 406 2.0 HDI 110bhp Executive Saloon
2013 - 2021: 2007 Peugeot 407 2.2 HDI 170bhp Executive Saloon (mapped to 213bhp )
2021 - ????: 2016 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 180bhp Titanium

Some of the newest D8's had D9 components installed, like mirrors and seat coverings... do you not remember the posts on these?

dont forget the D8.5 which was very unusual but there was a few, made during 1999, the front end was D8 the back was D9 the electrics were D8 with the exception of having a BSi the interior was D8 with D9 seats
