Puggy, if your nob is wearing on one side it means you are grasping it in the same hand all the time, try swapping hands once in a while (although you will find your nob action is different here) also you could ask your missus to work your nob every once in a while (but again, it won't be quite the same).

Just got the centre cap off my new knob by pushing a pen up and it just popped out!

Hopefully my old knob will be the same, then it would have been an easy job!

Still trying to get my old knob pulled off...

i just changed mine, you typically gotta give a wee bit of twist whilst you yank the bloody knob out.

Got mine which is a std one similar to the Pris's one at abt GBP8+..can't seem to find the leather one.

looks much nicer as in the picture.

Finally today after completely cleaning the inside of the car I fitted the alloy gear knob cap. Here it is;

Couldn't get the bastard knob off so I just used a screwdriver to prise the black cap out and place the silver one in. Success!

i did this but replaced the hole thing!
wish i didnt now as the old one fell apart when i removed it so had to use the new one but they dont fit!
its like trying to hump a essex prosie! just aint going to happen :lol:
so i had to wrap insulation tape around the rod so the knob would fit on, only trouble with that is when it gets hot inside due to the sun the knob goes looseish

so hint for you all if your going to do this do it the way ThePrisoner has done not the way i did!

looks the tits tho 8)
