Courtesy light PROBLEM

Post by dagger505 »

Hi all,

This is my first post in this forum.
I have a 2002 406 d9 2.0 Petrol ST model.
Recently i replaced my original courtesy light bulbs (front and rear both) with LED bulbs.
Since then the courtesy lights working only when doors are open.
When try to switch on the lights manually it doesn't work.
and also the reading lights also not working. (didn't change the reading light bulb though)
I can assure the fitted bulbs are working properly.

Where did i go wrong? Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Buddy, methinks you need to have ignition switched on for maplight and manual switch. Regards Geoff.

That's deffo how they are controlled so it looks like you have no ignition controlled feed to the switch. Could you have disturbed the connection when changing bulbs? Best regards Geoff.
