Would 407 seats fit a 406?...

I'm looking for a set of leather seats for my 406 but there doesn't seem to be many around. I wondered if the 407 seats would fit or could be modded,as they seem to be more available. For example might the leather and cushioning be fitted onto my seat frames? Best regards, Geoff.

The will not fit, they are totally different.

If you use the 406 frame's anything can be made to fit

No !
But lots of different seats into lots of different car's over the last 30 years
ie: opel manta recaros in a mini, mandatory rx8 front seats in a bmw 330 (e46)

There was a member here that fitted a set many years ago, it apparently was a pain in the bum and was much harder than expected - it also looked a bit too big....
It is possible though.
