Leather interior - all the same?

I have the possibility of a leather interior from a 2.1td but obviously its an earlier model than my '01, are the seats the same, the front ones look shorter or is it my imagination?

As far as I recall the front seats fit ok but the rears are not quite the same. Or something. Someone on here will know for sure though, I think the rears have a problem right down in the corners where they meet the doors.

The door cards look the same but the bracket that holds them to the door is different - it can be changed though..

The estate rear is the same but not the saloon, it can be modified though, there's a how to (or two).

I've no idea about support on the front seats though, only having experienced the D9's I fitted to mine.

Thanks Steve

Mine is an estate as is the donor vehicle so that may be OK, the front seats just don't look as comfortable. I particularly want electric seats not because they are electric but they have a much better selection of adjustments and for me are more comfortable. I bought a GLX because it has them but this one has had the drivers seat replaced with a manual one, I don't necessarily want leather seats a good cloth one would do. I noticed the lack of an electric drivers seat before I bought the car but it was so good and so cheap I bought it anyway - I just have this little problem. :frown:

Peter,

I may be interested in your front passenger seat if you manage to find a new set.

Where about in Cornwall do your "regular trips" take you?

Hi Ben

St Austell or that region, my sons separated wife lives there but he has the children so he takes them down for the weekend once a fortnight and sometimes I drive him down there.

I will bear you in mind if I get some seats. There are a set of nice looking electric cloth seats in east London and due to the apparent lack of them anywhere else I might be tempted to go for those but they wont deliver although at current fuel prices and 60 mpg it might be worth my while going up there.

Will there will be Tea and Creamy/Jammy Scone products consumed as part of the deal? :cheesy:

Best not, (could turn into a heated DW10 / DW12 debate).
