MFD Wiring??

Heya guys,
I have a 2002 Peugeot 406 coupe (mux) and the MFD backlight does not work. I have changed the bulbs so that crosses that off. I have changed MFD's so that crosses that off too. I think it may just be a wire supplying 12 volts to the bulbs. Does anyone know which wire it may be? Is it in fact just one wire? Any other solution that may be the go??

P.S In case anyone is wondering, a half mux MFD is not interchangeable with a mux MFD. If you put a half Mux MFD in a full mux car, you will lose the steering wheel controls.

I seem to remember there are only about 4 wires going to the MFD, which I imagine are VCC, GND, CANH and CANL. So if you just multimeter between all the wire pairs, the two that read +12V will show you which two are supplying power.

The MFD connector has 18 pins, i haven't got SEDRE running at the moment to check what they are though

Multimeter does not show 12v supply on ANY of the connections? Not even in my other 406.

Supply should be on pin 9, wire code BH08B, fed from F8, passenger fuse box
(Gnd is on pin 8, wire code M721)

As Jon said, the only other 3 wires are the comfort van bus on pins 4,7 & 18

So pin 9 is the 12v supply for the backlight or for the MFD itself?

Both - I think the dim / bright will be controlled via the van

Do you have access to PP2000 to test the display?

Yes, I think I briefly tested the display with the negative and positive screens as well as the checkered screen, or was there another option I was supposed to use?
