st. wheel from 1007, straight swop (apart that re-trimmed in black as they are all navy blue :?: ) and looks like airbag will connect just fine as connector exact same but just in case to avoid explosions :supafrisk: have fitted resistors. gear knob is ford c/s max really better quality then pug's

And me? My knob is really worn and needs replacing...
Saw someone on facebook do the 1007 wheel upgrade... Personally I'm not keen, but I do like that knob.

I like the wheel, but not so keen on the knob.

Have you fiited a 6-speed box, steven?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

not yet but started with the knob  got the gearbox 20MB04 and waiting when the clutch goes so will do all in one go

Makes sense, but the sooner you fit the 'box, the sooner you get the benefits....
Here's another way of looking at it - if the new clutch / flywheel will last longer than your period of ownership and you're definitely going to do it anyway, you don't really gain anything from waiting

This might be totally inappropriate, but Eric may I ask about your knob? Being a 6 speed gearbox, do you have push up reverse like on my standard Exec? Just interested in the lay out of your gear selections, also - who fitted the gearbox for you and how much did you get the box for? I'm interested in doing it for fuel economy reasons.

you don't really gain anything from waiting[/quote] yes I know but have to wait anyway winter creeping in so ideally will have to be in the later spring. Were are you based doggy? Would you be able/interested to do conversion? It will be done in the garage anyway so I would rather pay someone who knows what he's doing. Cheers
