cheers for that mac, pretty much the same method i used except it seems you had more luck with the -ve and +ve combinations, i wired the seat in first and then must have gone through 11 or 12 of the possible 16 combinations of wiring before it all finally worked right!!
even now though i'm still not satisfied, my leather is only a stop gap until a mint half-leather set from a 53 or 04 plate SE comes up!
