Floor mats

Post by Captain Jack »

Hi,

My driver side floor mat sports a massive hole due to "wear and tear" and am looking for a replacement one. I notice there are a couple of plastic lugs holding the mats in place so they don't slip so I obviously don't want any generic Halfords ones. I notice there are a few decent looking ones on eBay but can anyone recommend a decent supplier of decent mats that will fit the car perfectly and ones that won't fall apart in 6 months?

Mucho thanks

I got some Peugeot ones off eBay over a year ago -- hardly worn at all.
The driver's mat has two holes at the back, and the set comes with two large plastic screws which hold it in to, er somewhere :? I think they're supposed to screw into the carpet, but I didn't want to make a hole so mine aren't secured, but they don't move as the underside is rubbery.

I think these are they: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Genuine-P ... 3cbf33d4d2

Thanks! The holes just slot in on mine, so I guess this should do.

I bought a set of "Luxury" car mats from http://www.carmats4u.com/ for my old saloon, less than 6 months before her encounter with White Van Man. They were very good quality carpets, and could be clipped down to the carpet using either manufacturer's supplied fixings, or they supplied their own fixings for those cars that don't have them included (my old LX saloon didn't). They have a range of different thicknesses and styling options (colours, trims, etc). I sold them on not long after buying the Coupe and scrapping the saloon.

I've had 4 x sets of tailored mats from this place and they are brilliant, they're not cheap but the 'luxury' material is spot on and is the same stuff the car manufacturers use. They supply BMW/Mercedes dealerships with tailored stuff too but I can thoroughly recommend.

I've bought them for relatives for Christmas and they were really pleased

Doesn't the auto bit mean she wrote it herself?
