Hi Guys - I have been doing some trawling through old posts and know some of the answers to what I am about to ask but going to ask.
I have a 1997 1.9TD LX Estate - I am looking at changing the interior - I have seen a complete leather interior from a 2000 HDI(90) Estate.
I take it the 2000 HDI(90) is a D9 and mine a D8 - I beleive the front seat will bolt straight in (electrics I have read can be custom wired to use - ditching the memory part)
I beleive the door cards will fit - with a little adjustment of the fixings i believe & the wiring for the switches.
But do the rear seats fit straight in without and changes - I have a 2Yr old Son and dont want to be custom fitting the rear seat fixings for safety reasons.
also what do you guys think a complete interior & door cards would be worth (Cream Leather) - not exactly the colour i was looking for but available.
And do you think its worth the hastle?

I can't contribute a great deal to this, (plenty of others have done all the permutations - it's definetly worth a search or two).

If the donor car's a 2000 HDi 90, then it's definetly a D9, but as there are no Hdi 90 Execs it almost certainly wont have memory seats. Other models had electric adjustment without the memory. Probably a GTX, or a GLX with optional leather, (extra £1100 IIRC)

did you ever fit the seats ??

i have a 1998 406 phase 1, and i fitted 2004 406phase 2 seats into it,

the front seats fitted same altho i did have to change all the seatbelt clips over so that the airbag light went off as normal,

the back was a little harder, the metal frames were different but the sponge and seats was the same, so i changed over the new sponges and seats onto my old frames, didnt take long but the end result was well worth it,
also i had to cut out sum of the sponge from the new seats so the frame would sit flush against it,
the rear bottom section should just fit in straight away no problems

it was a very easy job to be honest, well worth it for me because having a phase 1 406 meant i had horrible grey interior (what was peugeot thinking putting this in their cars)

but yes i think all the sponges and seats are all the same , only the metal frames are different, well the frames are the same its the actually locking mechanism that is different on the rear seats

The OP was for an estate (straight swap with minor fiddling) but it's good to hear fitting D9 seats in a D8 saloon isn't too hard. There was a thread about it but the pictures have gone, it looked like a nightmare though.
