Boot trim plugs + replacing aerial

Post by irrselvam »

Hi all,

Two interior questions:

1. Does anyone know where to get the small grey trim "plugs" for the boot door trim?

2. Aerial seems to have snapped off at the base, although reception is still decent it drops off in rural areas. Does anyone know what the Peugeot part numbers are for the base and aerial (assuming they're available separately)? Any tips on removing the courtesy light panel as I think the aerial is mounted behind it?

Cheers

On my vehicle (2003 Estate) these were also knackered. I found the OEM part no. to be 6995AC. Found here or just Google for it. In the end I got them for free at a local scrap yard.

If your vehicle has the antenna base at the back (near the boot), the antenna base part OEM number is 6561GP or 6561G2. It has an antenna amplifier and a GPS receiver built-in, found here. The electronics inside this part go bad over time. I had to replace mine a while ago.

The antenna itself is part no. 6561A0. But I don't think it will need replacement; the bad reception is due to the broken electronics inside the antenna base.

If the screw base of the antenna is very dirty or rusty, you may want to clean it thoroughly with a good wire brush. The electric contact between the antenna and the base must be very good.

Hi,

Thanks for the trim plug part number. I've contacted a few sites to see if I can get some grey ones.

As for the aerial, mine is mounted at the front behind the windscreen (1997 estate) but I'm guessing the aerials are interchangeable? It looks like the base is ok but the aerial has snapped off and left behind a piece inside the base so I'll need to get that out to screw the new one in. I'd rather not take off courtesy light to get at the base...

Thanks

No that is a different one. I think that is just a simple radio antenna base, so without a GPS receiver. In that case the part number would be 6561 10.

And for that, the antenna itself comes with two part numbers: either the long one which is 6561 43 (850 mm length) or the short one which is 6561 01 (420 mm length).
