Clunk under braking

I have recently noticed a clunk under braking at very low speed, if the car is just rolling and brakes are applied there is a clunk from somewhere at the front, I have recently replaced the drop links so don't think they are at fault, also there is an occasional clunk through the steering when going from lock to lock at low speed not sure if this is related.
Any ideas what I should look for and how to check any suspect components please.

Possibly strut top bearings.
Get both front wheels off the ground and work the steering from lock to lock / grab each front wheel in turn & work the steering from there.
If there are any issue you'll here and/or feel them.
