Replacment Front Coil Spring
Hi there all I recently had my son and a mechanic friend of his replace my front coil spring on the passenger side as the previous one snapped into 3 different sections!!... When I full lock there seems to be a twanging noise my son has noticed the spring seems to moves about at the bottom? Any ideas on this would be great! many thanks!

Did you replace the top bearing?
This is usually a seized top bearing which causes the twanging as the spring is being turned instead of the top bearing....this is probably why the spring broke in the first place.

I agree, top bearing puts the spring under strain.

I fitted a KYB top mount kit on mine, improves the handling greatly as my steering went very 'snatchy' for want of a better word.
