2.1 pwr steering what other models would fit
Hi all does anybody know what other models would fit my p reg 96 2.1 td 7 seater, ive got a small leak on the curly plastic pipe that sits behind the rad. If i can get one off another model that would give me more scope cheers
Re: 2.1 pwr steering what other models would fit
Is it not the same as the 1.9 or 2.0.Hdi?

Go on, give us a clue
The trouble is a lot of the pipes aren't interchangable (especially HP lines )
Even on the 2.1 it depends if it's got variable power steering and there's even an RPO in play too for added fun.

Number 10 in the diagram is the usual culprit here...I've changed several of these due to the pipe rubbing against the chassis and therefore leaking, in fact, it became such a problem at one time that I used to keep a new one in my van.
I have a repaired one of these in my garage at home....here is a photo of it.....
You can see the repair I made to allow use of the car until the new one was fitted....I used brake servo hose.
The repair is very effective and can be left as it is without replacing the part.
The pipes are actually aluminium, not plastic.
If I got the wrong part then pat me on the head and ignore me

I thought the OP night mean that one but it's kind of metal, not plastic. It's actually one of the ps pipes that is common to other 406s

4020 WV - that's fairly common for once, fitted on 1.9td & 2.0 + 2.2 HDis, most petrols 2 litres and over (presumably PSA decided anything smaller didn't need what looks like a p/steering fluid cooler). Oh, and some 806/C8s oddly enough.

It passed the mot using the handy tip of chemical metal and some tubing and jubilee clips, also had to strip rear brakes because it also failed on that and found the dreaded brake shoe retaining bolt had pulled through the back plate so sorted that with nut and bolt, a few years ago i changed rear discs pads and shoes and couldnt figure out why i had crap handbrake now i know happy days
