So...the vehicle is pug 406 1997 D8 petrol tubby.

When i turn the steering wheel all the way to one side,i hear a clicking sound and a battery light appears on the dashboard.
As i noticed it the first time,i got more vigilant.
Everything is ok when driving, but upon stopping the car (engine still runing) and turning the steering wheel closer to the maximum turning point of the steering wheel the battery light is slowly appearing at the dashboard.
What is this madness now?

i just spent 100 euro on a watch for miss, have MOT in 2 days, dont have any cash left on me :supafrisk:

When stopped and turning the wheel, you're asking for the most possible load on the PAS pump. The load is lower when the car is moving. The battery light begins to illuminate when the alternator output voltage falls below the battery terminal voltage. When you're stopped and the engine is idling, the alternator output is at its lowest.

As such, I suspect your alternator output is too low at idle. Could be a failing alternator. What's the battery terminal voltage when the car is idling? Is it idling at the right speed?

You can test this as follows: start the car and let it idle. In neutral, gently increase revs to about 1200rpm. Then try the steering thing again (holding revs at 1200 all the time) and see if the battery light remains off :)

Could the belt be slipping?

I would say that idling is good, but i need to replace that tensioner pulley because it creates that loud annoying sound.
Could that be a problem?
Also,i did noticed that my lights are weaker than cars behind but untill now,i thought it was due to filthy glass, which is turning yellow unfortunately.
