Will that fit a 406 or..? :?

Sounds like what I've been told about Mercedes, they can get you any part for any Merc ever made, no matter how old. It'll most certainly cost you though...

Thanks Steve and oldskool.

The bmw part looks correct on paper. Might be worth a quick visit to my local dealer for more details. There's always the breakers (if they can get them off).

But I think it is a case of Peugeot making a batch at a time as orders pile up - my local Pug dealer says he'll call me if he gets a batch in.

Cheers.

I got a reply from Peugeot head office regarding these eccentric bolts which I've posted below. Hopefully we'll all get a definative explanation on this irritating bolt.

Dear xxxxx

Thank you for your email received on the 9th October.

I was sorry to learn of the difficulty you are experience regarding the delivery of a part. Peugeot can never guarantee the delivery date of a part as there can be a number of factors that can affect the arrival of a part, which are out of Peugeots control. However I have got the part details off Olympic Cars Limited and i will be chasing this up for you and be in contact with you once I have more information.

Thank you for taking the time to write to Peugeot.

Regards
xxxxxx

I thought that was a little forward, I'd only mailed to complain once and hardly know them !!

Had to replace some rear tracking rods on Saturday and took this pic if it's any help..... obviously ,the washer on the other side is a special as well with it's notch that fits into the slot on the bolt.

My local dealership now tells me Peugeot have made a batch of these bolts and he reckons they're off the "stop" list and can now be ordered in your local dealership.

Get em while you can !
