steering rack seal

hi all on my 51 plate 2.0hdi the steering rack is leaking from where the stubby bit sticks out that the steering column attaches to. sorry for the not so great description. has any1 ever been able to get this seal as to change the whole rack just for that seems to be both expensive & a right faf on to change. thanks in advance
