Feels like a new car !

I've been getting that familiar feeling of the back end drifting on cornering lately so I splashed out on 2 new tyres and 4 wheel tracking yesterday.
F*ck me what a difference!
brand new tyres on the front and good tyres on the back all pointing the right way has transformed the handling like you wouldn't believe. Even with budget tyres (B rated for grip) I've got so much more confidence in the bends, made her a real pleasure to drive again.
Used a place called protyre and the did the tracking for £25 as I was buying tyres, absolute bargain.

8) excellent. (on subject of the tyres:)

on subject of the 406 rear end sway, Scary aint it, :(
the 1st d9 ihad when ifirst got it ineary wiped the car out, 28- 30 ish round a sharpish bend, any other car couid normaly handle
not that one, reminded me of old ford cortina with dodgey void bushes, or ford capri, :supafrisk:

inearly took it to the scrapyard, ithink that was my 1st ever post on the forum on that topic,
dodgey tyres on the rear of the 406s dont go well, (crappy rear end set up imho )
but decent tyres keeps them safe,

My last set of budget tyres on the rear of mine makes it handel like my old capris in the wet  Can happen at any speed.Fun when i`m on my own but not so with the family in the car.The tyres are nearly worn out now & i think i will replace them with some decent ones. And as per my other post i think i have some bushes/links to replace on the rear.
