Handbrake cables

Can anyone tell me if the handbrake cables are the same on drums as discs?

Nope, they're all different.

There's also 2 different front cables for both (4 total), depending on whether the handbrake adjuster is at the top or at the bottom. Oh, and just to make things even more interesting, the front cable with the handbrake adjuster at the top was redesigned in 2000

Sounds like I have a whole load of fun ahead converting drums to discs

I've a brand new front to back cable for disc brakes with the adjuster underneath if your interested.
