Possible wheel bearing????

Hi all

i have notice in the last fortnight a faint droning noise as i drive along its the same tone what ever gear and even if i coast along doesnt seem to change whether i go round a left or right bend though the noise is very quiet but cannot tell what it is how can i check if its a wheel bearing?

It's more often a tyre problem - try swapping all your wheels in turn with the spare.

I checked the wheels and couldnt find any play and the only noise i could hear when spinning the wheels was like the slight brushing from the discs i need neew tyres anyway so guess i will have to get them changed at the weekend see how i get on

checked again today and when i spin the drivers front wheel there is a noise not noticed on the opposite side also if i hold the spring you can feel some slight vibrations in the spring

right got the drivers side wheel bearing replaced today and the noise is disappeared but what I don’t get is if I steered right before it was done the noise would stay and if I steered left it would disappear which indicates the passenger side bearing BUT when the garage checked it the felt the spring and said definitely the drivers side sort of defies what you get told about wheel bearing wear so im confused however noise has gone which is good
