Hi lads,
Lately ive been getting this groany/grindy noise coming from the rear suspension when I go aver a ramp. The noise doesnt occur all the time, infact more often than not I hear nothing but its still getting on my nerves! I have replaced five worn bushes and still the noise is present, however during the course of replacing them I noticed that where the rear coil spring sits in the lower suspension arm there is a kind of rubber seat which looked to be in quite a bad state. Anyway Ive a feeling that this could be the culprit but after looking through ebay and amazon I cant find these coilspring rubbers anywhere, does anyone know where they can be bought? or is it a case of having to buy a whole new set of rear springs?
Also, I was under my car the other day and noticed that the rear suspension cross beam is rusted nearly to the point of being unrepairable, does anyone know where I can get one of these new? Id rather replace than repair to be honest but I still dont want to go to the main dealers as I have a weak heart!
