I am looking to replace the suspension balljoint (1996, 1.9 diesel)
Haynes talks of a special socket to get it off the pivot assembly.

Has anyone doe this?
Is a special socket really needed?

I have just done my ball joint and could not have done them without the SEALEY Peugeot 405 406 407 Ball Joint Socket Set SX0271 which I got from E Bay £21 inc P&P well worth it, you'd be mad not to get 1.
