I don't think you'll fit any Ford wheels without some machining (even if you did we'd send a party of representatives out to you with baseball bats  ) Have a squint at the chart here but bear in mind it isn't 100% http://www.carlsalter.com/wheel_fitments.html

I totally lost faith in Carl Salter's fitment guide after I found that 307s have a different offset to what he says! But as far as fitting Ford wheels to a 406 goes it's pretty much a no-no unless you want to fit massive spacers & can get the centre bore machined out as Fords have an offset that's typically over 30mm & a centre bore of 63.4mm. 406s need an offset no greater than 25mm & a 65.1mm centre bore.

Itried some wheels that came off a Mondeo on it,
theyre not Ford made ones, there Halfords 100 + wheels they fit perfect but they look shite,
so yes ford aftermarket wheels fit, 8)

My old saloon has Peugeot 307 "Apollo" alloy wheels fitted. They sit a bit far into the wheel arches, but they look like they could have been fitted to the car when it rolled off the production line. Spacers would help, maybe.
