When we had the 406 about 7 months ago it had new pads fitted all round, now im just wondering now long they will last for (we decided to go for the premium ones if that makes a difference)
The car is mostly doing stop-start (urban) miles now..
thanks

it all depends on the driver .. how hard you press , how late you press them
if you drive sensible and brake well in time they should last a good while,
its when you drive fast.. brake late and hard that start causing problems like warped disks

maybe your disks are worn so they will wear the pads quicker.

Mine, the front discs and pads were changed a few months before i bought it and i had done 40k up to a few months ago and there was still meat left on the pads but a sticky caliper resulted in one pad wearing slighty more so for £50 for quality discs and pads i stuck em on and needed a slider which had seized, got a second hand caliper for £25 and used the slider, perfect now........renewed the rear discs and pads also.
I would describe my driving style as sedate

as said depends how you drive how long they last.
