Rear coil springs V6

Post by gubbinschief »

Hi everyone.
New to the forum and I wish to say that this is the most comprehensive and helpful owners forum I have visited.
I have however a question. Do any 8E/F rear coil spring fit the 406 V6 estate? (mine is a 8E/F).
I do not use Ebay and I would rather have new, reliable parts and I am struggling to find such parts for my poorly, money draining car.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that all the estates use the same springs, but while servicebox is down, I can't confirm this... :/
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

If you mean saloon then they'd probably fit but they wouldn't be right.

Rear springs for your D8 V6 estate - 5102 E3
- INJECTION XU7JP4 AND LPG + UNLEADED PETROL AND ESTATE AND GOOD TERRAIN
MARK 3 BLUE
- TURBO INJECTION XU10J2TE AND ESTATE AND GOOD TERRAIN
MARK 3 BLUE
- INJECTION ES9J4 AND ESTATE AND GOOD TERRAIN
MARK 3 BLUE
- TURBO DIESEL XUD11BTE AND ESTATE AND GOOD TERRAIN
MARK 3 BLUE

Same as D9 2.2 and both V6 estates. All the other estates use different springs (5102 E4), apart from the 1.8 lpg :?

Saloons are all different I'm afraid.

Hold on, 147 quid a pair? :x
