Hi again guys.
I have recently replaced my front pads and discs on my 2000 406 110hdi but the brakes still feel a bit spongy.
Can anyone advise on the correct procedure to bleed the brakes please? Is it different with having ABS, do you have to start from furthest wheel away from cylinder etc etc???

If you didn't undo any brake pipes or bleed screws or lose any fluid then you don't need to bleed your brakes, you just need to allow enough time for the brakes to bed in.
If you only worked on the front brakes and still want to bleed them then you can bleed them by using an assistant to press the brake pedal as you open the bleed screw with a small pipe attached to allow the fluid to pour out of into a waste container.Get the assistant to press the brake down with the bleed screw open then close it as they get the pedal to the floor....repeat until only clear fluid pours out the tube.Keep the fluid tank full at all times.
If you want to bleed the whole system then the books will tell you to start from the furthest away from the master cylinder, but in practice it doesn't matter one bit.
No need to worry about the ABS as you have not disconnected the ABS pump.

+1 no need to bleed if the brakes felt ok before, when i bought my car i treated it to new disc's and pads all round and the brakes felt very soft but after about a weeks use they felt great.

Different pads have different composites and have a different feel to them. Some spongy, some not to spongy. If you want the original feel, go OEM pads.

I bled the front as I opened one of the nipples on the front as the piston was pretty stubborn going back. I used unipart pads as the guy said they were oem or better???

There is no such thing as OEM pads, all manufacturers buy in brake pads.
People like TMD friction make pads for all sorts of vehicles, brand names of Mintex, Pagid, DON, etc.
Up until fairly recently even Brembo didn't actually make brake pads.
