I need to change the top strut bearings on my 03 406 hdi estate, it looks like there are 2 options of parts one kit contains the bearings plus what looks like rubber mountings and the other kit just contains the bearings and is half the price.
When I did the same job on my wifes 206 the only parts choice was the bearings.
Do I need to buy the mountings as well?

Well done gentlemen. I'm thinking that's a few potential broken springs avoided too.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
