Tie Rod Bush

Post by jonsowman »

Hi all,

The HDi has an MOT advisory for "near side rear upper tie rod/bar has slight play in a pin/bush". I'm not good with suspension, could someone clarify which particular bit this is?

Here's a potentially relevant SB diagram:

Thanks jasper, is it clear from the advisory note which end needs looking at? Or is the bush/pin part of the link itself?

The bush and pin are the inner end of the link, number 10 in the picture.

If you jack up the car and try to move the wheel you will feel a little play in the wheel.
