Power steering pump

Hi all
My 406 110 estate steering seems to have stiffened up and it's a pig to drive,do you guys think it is the pump,and if so is it an easy thing to change,could it also be tracking real bad????, any help greatly appreiciated

Hi omega yes there is fluid in resavoir driven it for bout 270 miles and is def getting worse since I noticed it

I had something similar on my 406 the steering went very stiff and was a pig to drive. I replaced the pump got one off ebay for about £50 and fitted it myself wasn't too hard to do. The drivebelt was ok so i didn't need to replace that. let us know how you get on.
