I have a very distant drone on the back N/S wheel. It's very quiet actually and you can only hear it with the radio off.
When theres weight on that wheel though the drone does get a little louder.
Reckon it's a wheelbearing on it's way out?
Can't say I've ever heard of one going on a 406

I have 4 on the car and it's silent on the motorway, this drone turned up on the way to blackpool last weekend.
I'l swap the wheels around abit and see if the noise moves.

in my experience when a wheel bearing is on it's way out you can tell by gently making the car sway from left to right or vice versa when driving and the noise comes and goes as you load and unload the bearing.
