Sorry, I just had in mind that main dealer brake stuff is the same as you can buy anywhere, but at a cheaper price, just like timing belts.
Anyway, I have some brakes and a major service to do in Warringtonm, better get going.

The pads and discs that I changed today (Nissan Primastar/Renault Traffic) had Lucas/Ferodo stamped on them....the original ones from the factory.

Just out of interest:

Actually, comparing them to the new pads they're about 2/3 worn :frown:

Wassat then?

They do seem ridiculously corroded too.

This is from the delivery van she uses for her business and these are about 2 years old.

I've been using Black Diamond Discs and Pads for a few years now, I had a set of combis on my first v6 and I was surprised by their longevity. I've got grooved on my newer 406 and grooved on my 607, but the 607 seems to eat pads with the grooved disks, seems like twice as fast as the 406 did but then im not really sure on time or mileage, but I would say 25K for the first set I ever bought unless that seems unreasonable! The 607 is on 70K now and It's on its 2nd set of discs (probably more my choice than actual need) and i've just had the 3rd set of pads put on...to my knowledge anyway
