Nice car, I bet it pulls like a train. I'd love a V6 with a full tank and then drop it back when i run out

It not only pulls like a train, it drives like one as well. When you cruise it you dont hear a thing and when you press the gas it just goes whoesj, whatever speed I was going. It's the perfect car for cruising, because it's an automatic. When you drive you dont even feel the gear changes which is all done electronically instead of mechanically. The only down side is that when you want to overtake and press the gas down it takes a few seconds for the car to understand that I want to go fast and changes gear. But that's with all automatics the case.

Well, not as much as you think. It's exactly the same price as a Photoshop licence

It's possible to wire a momentary footswitch (available from music shops that sell keyboards) to the 'sports' button (i think) and mount it in the footwell to give a much quicker kickdown when you want it

It should kickdown, yes, but switching sports mode on makes it faster apparently and lets it rev higher. Some ppl on the coupe club came up with the idea of the footswitch to quickly activate sports mode for a short period, when you just want an immediate kickdown

Thats a great idea. The sports button is just on a wrong location, I think it's really stupid that they didn't put it on the right side of the stick for right hand driven cars. On the right side I have this little plastic cover that has no function, I guess it's to fit some feature I dont have :?: Anyway, would be nice to have the sports button on the steering wheel, or something close by.
But really, I'm not complaining. My car is fast enough

I didn't care much then, I also had 2 bikes and a BT van and I had a massive Sainsbury's 20 minute's walk away.

Yeah, tell me about it. I really have to restrain myself from driving the 'fun' way to save on fuell. But on my daily trip to work (on A and B roads) I'll just do 30 MPG. I have renamed the 'ice' button on the automatic transmission to 'drive like an old hag and save fuell' button :cheesy:  :cheesy:

Anyway, I look at it this way: I pay a little bit more to drive in luxury.

I'm struggling to get used to actually seeing the fuel gauge move down whilst going to/from work in the Volvo - it's become the gauge of doom :(

It's funny really, the difference between doing 38mpg in the HDi and then 25mpg doesn't sound that horrific really but in the real world it's a bit scary

But, like you I'm going to overlook it for now..... it's not that important is it?...is it? :|
