That's an incredible looking D8! Those headlamps look shinier than the ones on most D9s I've seen! Did it spend 8 years in a garage or something?

Just out of interest, how much did you pay for it?
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Hello Louis,

That's a fine looking 406 there! and mjb's right about those shiney headlights :cheesy:

You would really struggle to find even the very last of the 406's on an '04 plate with 42000 miles

My sister had a Renault Clio 16V when they first came out (K reg) and it was a great car. I remember the engine was designed with 'extra' clearance on the pistons to allow it to rev freely but the downside was it sounded a bit rough when cold :o I can't remember the specs now - was it 150BHP for the Williams and 130BHP for the 16V ???

That IS a damn fine lookin d8!!! Suggestion: Don´t drive the car at all, just store it in a dry garage for the next 20 so years, and it´ll be a classic!! :cheesy:

I'm pleased with the miles on it :), Like you say, unusual for a car like this to be on low miles these days
