Yes - it looks a cracking motor. You have put lots of time and effort into it and I'm sure it will last for many years.

just finished rebuilding the fuel injection system on my Mercedes w124. took her out earlier and the power difference now is amazing.

the alternator clutch is sticking on the 406 so will need to put a new pulley on when i can find the right one.

They're the type of wheel trims I want for my 2002 HDi.

I'm sure they are off an earlier variant, but I don't care, as I had a set on my 1999 HDi, and they looked great.

Trouble is, to find a pukka set, will be like finding hens teeth.

Anyone know what type they are called?

Them trims are called 'JAZZ. pretty rare, nearest to them are called QUARTZ found on early 406 & pug partner's.

they are pretty scuffed and peeling. if you're ever round this way you can have them.

Now if you had said that when you went to Newcastle last weekend, I would have taken you up on your offer.

They are quite rare now, and I know they are probably not for my year of car, it's just I like them.

I need to find someone with service box who may know when they finished fitting them to 406's, or alternatively ring the local dealers, as they are quite amenable in these parts.
