My Beautiful ''Miss Pug'' [A Working Progress!]
Here she is, the glorious Miss Pug!
She's a 2001, Y plate LX estate, 7 seater Family version.
2.0 16v
Day 2 of owning her and already set about ''getting hands on with this car!''
Notice the Ford......... (Wait for the sticker, just wait for it!)
Sticker ;) (Especially to pee the old man of)
Fog light also done now I must add (Although it worked and would NOT of been an MOT failure, it looked awful lol).
Miss Pug with my mums 206, Sadly written off 8th Feb 2013 in a serious accident.

Thanks Mum loved her 206, not had it a year either! At the end of the day that little 206 came up against a HGV and my Father was able to get out the car although hurt. WOMAN who caused the accident fled the scene, luckily there were witnesses and Dad's here to tell the tale, although deeply traumatized. He used to co-drive in many rallies in the 80's and said this is by far the hardest smash he has ever been in, says he could see the car going under the HGV framelozz wrote:Sorry to hear about the 206

Ahhh no Any pictures of the 306? Mum is looking at more 206's but I think they may be tempted to go for a 306..... I told them to go for a 406 but they told me I was biased?lozz wrote:Idont have a 406 sonia,

That really does look very tidy indeed
That rev counter goes round an awful long way
What did you do to the MFD screen? It kind of looks like you just turned the contrast up? Although admittedly, I do not know how to do that on the Type B MFD.
206/306/406/... you pays your money you takes your choice. You do get an awful lot more for your money with a 406 though, and it's a no-brainer as to which I'd prefer to sit in.

Sorry to hear what happened to your pa, was he just banged up a bit or something more serious? I could never feel safe in a 206 anyway, ever worse where I live now (where the drivers are just mental) so perhaps you could persuade your mum to get something with a bit more metal round it (Sherman tank?)
Your car certainly does look clean and straight, I particularly like the sticker (where's Bailes? )

+1 Never been in so serious an incident myself, but the few I have been involved in sometimes shake you up much more than you reaslise to start with. Hope your father's OK
That's a mighty smart looking 406 you have there.
(Love the sticker - as steve say's one immediately thinks of young Bailles, (who has had a 406, then a focus, then another 406 and now a mondeo - clearly he's at an impressionable age and can be forgiven for a little ford-curiosity).

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

The 3 bulbs behind the display needed changing, all 3 had blown! A simple enough job, nice and easy to start with! I then replaced the stereo to another factory fitted model as the reader was knackered on the stereo that came with the car.....rwb wrote:That really does look very tidy indeed

They recon he's broken his collar bone Luckily they caught the woman driver (she does no justice for women drivers like me.......) the Police had to convince her she was at fault... Over take on the brow of a hill, cause a serious accident then flee the scene - what kind of a stupid........ Thanks, car is fantastic
Ha ha Thanks....... I was unlucky enough to drive that Tranny for a little while - OMG never again... despite my Fathers love of Fords I shall never be a Ford girl I'm afraid......Doggy wrote:+1 Never been in so serious an incident myself, but the few I have been involved in sometimes shake you up much more than you reaslise to start with. Looks tidy Lozz, I did look at a white 306 estate (diesel) before I opted for the 406. I wanted to know if any 306 estates were 7 seaters but sadly not.........lozz wrote:not avery good picture,

Re: My Beautiful ''Miss Pug'' 406 LX Family 7 seater estate
In fairness, After buying Miss Pug I did wonder if I had gone for a ''too small'' car but thinking back on it, I really didn't wanna be one of those families who HAS to have a peoples carrier, I prefer cars to big buses and MPV's - ok so another 806 or an 807 would of been more practical, but no where near as fun as this 406

I am not that technically minded when it comes to my car - I am umming and ahhing about where to put the axle stands at the rear of the car.
Can you take a look at this picture and advise? I know it's not that clear but you guys must have an opinion on whether that's an OK place or not. It seemed pretty secure...
