KrisB's 4-0-Five

Post by KrisB »

Hey guys, thought i'd show a few pictures on here and maybe join in a little more.

I bought this from Calamity James (well, his mate) for £220...

Spent another £180 on MOT, tax, tracking, full service and cambelt.

Then removed the stilts... 70mm front (306 shocks and springs, shocks are inch shorter between locator and bottom spring cup) and 80mm rear.

Then my crazy paint wheels, plenty of stickers, some white paint and a home-made exhaust consisting of a xsara mid-box and some leftover pipe i had.

Had a fiddle with the pump and turbo, goes well! Chopped a slat out of the grille and drilled some holes in grille/slam panel for some more airflow to IC and intake.

Front arms fully rebuilt, droplinks and ARB bushes, topmounts 'rebuilt' as had major problems finding bushes so made my own. Rear beam rebuilt and new flexi hoses all round with new mintex discs and pads upfront with the new drums that came with the car at rear.

And it ends up looking something like this...

Working aircon....

Future plans are...

Coilovers to acheive -100mm front now i have smaller 195/45/16 tyres instead of 205/50/16 and lower rear just another 10mm for some stance (bootfull of stuff in track pics).

20 or 25mm hubcentric spacers all round and arch flare (i have a propper flaring tool).

I might be picking up a 405 LeMans which has all the sports bumpers, skirts, bigger spoiler, leathers. Just no engine.

And then a vinyl wrap.

Peace
