Not so shiney

Post by Blue406 »

With all the extremely sub-zero temperatures lately, it's been impossible to clean the car.
I was able to clean her on the 18th when the temperature outside "soared" to 4°C
But, for the last week with highs of -5°C, this is what she looks like

So you can see the difference between normal and now:

I feel your pain, mate. My Coupe is less than clean (just arrived back in Aberdeen from my folks house in Thurso) - it's dark outside; I shudder to think how much dirt and salt and grit is plastered all over. I've never actually washed that car since I bought it

I'll go out and do that on New Year's Day, if it's not raining/snowing.

I tried to get mine washed in an auto machine but it was broke, and i cant do it at home because the waters froze, and any that isnt has some bleachy stuff used for cleaning the yard that also stops it freezing but is disasterous around metal.

Try having a white car. Pressure hosed it down, drove 10 miles home and it was filthy again just as bad as before.

I vosched mine over xmas and my super-welly patented bucket grit-guard caught, what can only be described as, SAND in the bottom of the water  (rock salt is mixed with sand).
