Drove the 406 down to the Single seater experience at Silverstone.
Took a few photos, here it is parked up by Pit straight:

Re: Silverstone visit
That F430 could not match the performance of the 406, the shear torque of the HDi would rip up the new tarmac at Silverstone

Re: Silverstone visit
I missed this thread before, hope you had a good day.
It's nice to thrash (someone else's) car and give it back. I did a day at Oulton park years ago and would love to do something like that again.

Re: Silverstone visit
My brother had one of them driving day things bought for his birthday. I went along to take photos. He drove a R8 and a lambo. I could of paid on the day to have a spin round the track in something but the price they wanted for 2 laps was ridiculous.
Still love to do it one day.

Re: Silverstone visit
It was actually the single seaters I did, 1600cc Zetec, 150bhp but it weighed about 400kg. Huge power to weight ratio
Loads of fun.
Could have done a Ferrari / Lambo run on a cancellation, 1/2 price.
406 was a comfortable car to drive down, air con was nice when the sun was coming through, was quite good on fuel.

I'm doing a Ferrari 360 / Lambourghini Murcielago run for my 30th birthday next month, not sure what date and what track yet though
I may buy a couple of laps in an Aston Martin DB9 or V12 Vantage too. Why the hell not.
There was one of our Finance guys turned 60 last week - his friend owns TopGear Cars, a reseller and leaser of high performance supercars, and his own personal car is a Ferrari F50, one of only 349 ever built. So his mate loaned him the car, and he drove to work in it. $700,000 - $900,000 worth of car, parked up outside our office.
