Just curious, was it DMF, or not?

After the plodmobile broke down 2 or 3 weeks ago on the Coventry bypass, i've been a tad worried about the cause of it
Was a tad paranoid the lift pump was on it's way out

Doggy graciously offered to take a look at if for me
He came round this afternoon, and plugged in his PP2000

Car came up with 4 faults
One permanent fault - clutch switch - as it's not got cruise, it's not an issue

3 other faults - one of which fuel pressure too high

Doggy cleared the faults, and we went down the road at 30 ish to the ring road, where I put it under load to try and get it to flag something up
Nothing came up, and Doggy said it was delivering the fuel it was being asked for
Obviously it can't be the lift pump as it would be low pressure not high
We came to conclusion it must of just been a bit of a blip

So very happy

Many, many, many thanks to Doggy for his help, and I owe you one big time :D

Tell the cold weather's back

Went Severn Valley Railway today and was going round A444 roundabout to get on M6 at J3 and the EML light came on
Got it up to 80 on the motorway and switched it off and restarted it, and EML was still on, but about a minute later it went out and stayed out.
I'll expect to see it half a dozen times this winter then hopefully that's it for another 8 months or so

Done very little with the car over the last few months except bought a rapier glovebox, but need the lower dashboard section to make the soft closure work
Did have the bits I needed lined up with French Connection Spares (Woody) but had a little cash flow problem and couldn't buy them at the time ( keep getting paid late at work :( )

I had the rapier glovebox out the shed the other day to sell the ashwood trim off it, and it looks like I can clip the front off it, and change it to grey - as I don't fancy going all black anymore, and have the soft closure in the grey
I just had a look on SB but couldn't find the part that goes on the dashboard to work the soft closure
Bit cheeky, as I already have SB but anybody got any clues - I must be getting old :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

I tried looking on there earlier to see if there were different types of housing, but it kept coming up with some kind of error when I tried to select Replacement Parts Documentation. Does the mechanism just slot straight in or do you need the right type of housing? I remember back in my Mondeo days that there was something similar for the Mondeo glovebox & it could be fitted in any of them.

Thanks, came as bit of a shock, as was expecting a bad one for some reason - probably not justified, but sometimes you have that feeling

Quite welcome though, as we are budgeted right up to August, and to get away with just £35 test fee, was very, very welcome

Forgive me if you already know this, Alberto. You can put your car in for the MOT up to 1 month early, if it passes they will give you a certificate for 1 year from the date it was due. This means if it passes you have a certificate for 13 months, if it fails you still have some time to fix it before the certificate runs out.
