My 406 HDI
My 406 HDI
just washed my car 2day for the 1st time since its respray over xmas as it was an ex taxi painted in AA yellow so i thought id go and get a few pics, its the 110 HDI version
ive added a few mods myself since getting the car ive replaced the black door handles and ive added the chrome door handles and replaced the wood effect on the door cards and dash with the titanium/silver trim to the doors and dash and ive sprayed the grey parts of the dashboard black as i wasnt keen on the grey bits inc the glove box all i have let to do is now find a close macth to paint the radio facia and i just need to get the chrome strip to finish the back bumper

Looks good.
What make/model are the chrome inner door handles off?
Looks pretty good with the silver surround

Re: My 406 HDI
Interesting. It appears to be the non-satnav screen in a satnav surround. I'd guess at a retro-fit of the silver trim.
I think the chrome door handles only come from special edition (either S&B or Settant'anni) coupés
Get that crap off the stereo though

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Re: My 406 HDI
If you have no sat nav remote, dont go disconnecting the battery as you cant set the time or date on that one without the remote !!, and the time will constantly flash until its set which is very annoying

The thing you done with your glovebox and wood trim is exactly the same as I'm half way through doing to my car. How did you get the black to stick? Mine keeps peeling?

i gave the glovebox a rub down then i put 2 coats of plastic primer on then gave it 3 coats of matt black paint and just left it to dry on its own for a few days, as i was lucky as i didnt need the car for every day useBailes1992 wrote:The thing you done with your glovebox and wood trim is exactly the same as I'm half way through doing to my car.
