Loftys new D9 Rapier HDi Estate

Hi folks.

Ive aquired my 5th 406, a late 2001 Y reg 2.0 Hdi Rapier (90) estate in Platinum Silver metallic.

It came in P/x at work against a new 407 hdi sport, and i dealt with the customers from the off. Its a one owner from new car, with absolutly full Peugeot History, even had the tyres and wiper blades done by our main dealership.

Its had no paintwork, is bodily very tidy (needs a dentman to get 3 minor trolley dinks out) and ive replaced 2 x front tyres today. Everything works and it drives equally as well as my last D9 110 Hdi LX.

Further plans are a proper deep clean of the paintwork, clay, machine polish, glaze and wax, and a wheels off / arch cleaning session as well.

Ive fitted 4 x Gen Pug contoured mudflaps and a new set of Gen fitted Pug mats.

What do you think?

Tidy motor!

How do you fit the contoured mudflaps - is it difficult?

Thinking about getting some of these for mine...

Ref the contoured mudflaps, dead easy to fit, 5 minutes a corner tops, They dont flap about anywhere near as much as the standard Peugeot flaps either!

With the badges on the wing (drivers only), i've lost count of the number of different 406's that have odd wing badges, ie i "think" from my age old memory that it should have a rapier badge on one wing, the hdi on the other, but if its like any of the new 207/308's that come through our work, its down to the discrettion of the PDI'ing tech as to where or if the badges are stuck on!

Its deffinatly all original paintwork, so its been oddly badged from new. Saying that my parts mans on the case for a pair of new Rapier wing badges purely cos im a geek!! LOL

Thanks for the kind comments, im chuffed with it so far

My 406 Rapier had Rapier badges on the wings.

Its debadged now though as I hate having badges on any of my cars.

Looks in real good original condition

Would be my perfect 406 if I could find one :( Hoping my Uncle will give me his HDi Rapier in a year or so though
