decided to colour code the new wiper blade arms that i got from omega. had primer, paint & lacquer left over from my spoiler a few months back.
1st stage - a good rub down and primer (red primer only applied yet NO paint)
QUESTION - does the primer need rubbing down with wet and dry ? it is very very smooth as it is so paint will have a good finish,
but i'm wondering if it needs to be rubbed down anyway to give the paint a better key. i'm not well clued on painting things altho i can do a decent job
(PIC'S WILL FOLLOW WHEN PHOTOBUCKET DECIDE TO FINISH THEIR MAINTENENCE ITS ONLY BEEN DOWN NOW 3 DAYS )
ye will do mate. just waiting for a nice warm day now . i will hang them on the washing line outside and spray them there.
then leave them there hanging for 12 hours.
then bake them for 24 hours on radiator before lacquer.

cheers todd. i spend most days these days tinkering with it.
next job. paint brake calipers and rear drums with caliper paint (colour coded to diablo red )
and give each alloy wheel a good clean and machine buff (if i can afford a buffer) because there all scratced from me using a soap brillo pad to clean them
To be honest, I thought it might look a bit "80's", but doesn't look that bad in parked position
I bought a puller off ebay at the weekend, so hoping it comes quickly, as we have good weather up till friday
So fingers crossed can get away with no wipers on the car for a day or so
