Cheers for the warning. Think I'll skip the inspection on my 10 year old and proceed directly to the main course of 2 tubes of Loctite squirted down the backDaiRees wrote:By the way, those of you who have estates, if the rear plate was fitted by some monkey with some self tappers, take the plate off and check that it ain't going rusty under there. My 5 year old example was bubbling quite nicely . Had to use rust treatment and lots of touch up before I could stick the new plate on
Blinged my ride......

Does that mean you don't like it Welly?Welton wrote:I wonder how it would look with just 2 chrome strips, leaving out the middle one?
Did you try this?
No I didn't even think to try that, I like it as it is.
I bought 10M of the 3.5mm chrome strip from Sparesworld by the way. 'Twas £16.99. They also do the 7mm wide version for £18.99, but that would have been too wide for the grille bars.

I wasn't too sure when I first saw it, I thought perhaps there was too many strips. But looking at it again, it's growing on me
Have you got chrome roof rails on yours dai? they used to look cool on the 405 estate.

One of the drawbacks of owning an estate is that all your friends/family see it as a 'van'

No, that was a totally different "mate"
I don't mind carrying stuff with it, that's what it's there for, just don't like getting it damaged during the process
