Trim

Post by hugh »

Hi all,

The beast has two bits of trim with issues:

a) the strip at the bottom of the driver's door window (loose)
b) the bump strip on the rear driver's side door (missing, but attaching bits still lodged in the door).

Please could anyone advise on how difficult these items are to replace?

Regards

Hugh

Best to get yourself up to a brakers yard and see what you can find.

HI Hugh.

The strip at the bottom of the window is held on by 2 tiny torx screws, a simple fix.

The door bump strip, well you can either remove the door card, slice through the weather seal barrier inside the door and 'try' to prise the old clips off from the inside ( not advisable ) - or gently persuade the strip to come off ( scrap car or whatever ), keeping it as straight as possible, pushing your broken fixings through to the inside of your door and fit new clips to the replacement strip http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10x-Citroen-P ... 4adf25ba85

Look for a decent one as many have discoloured chrome strips...
