Paintless dent removal,

Post by lozz »

Ive found a good way of removing dents in car pannels,
thought id share this just incase anyones got any trolley dents etc,

what you need is a hot glue gun
and 1 of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M10-x-152-M8- ... 27cfc05135 or something simalar,

wipethe panel first with abit of meths or somesort of alchol wipe , & let it dry,
put hot glue on the plastic part of the bath leg, stick to the centre of dent, leave in place for a min to set,

grip the threaded part with apair of mole grips lock them on and pull, mind your face as once the dent pops out the bath leg and molegrips can
fire back at you,

worked for me but try at your own risk,

Seen this thread the other day and thought it might work on my bonnet where some numpty has slammed it shut leaving a dent right at the front, been keeping an eye out for bath leg to do the job but i guess this trick is doing the same job as this kit i just spotted on the bay.

Might give that a go if my mate don't come up with a bath leg soon.

them kits are ok depending on the dent,
the bar isnt long enough for most, the legs can end up in the dent so wont pull it out,
them kits are only 2 quid ish on amazon,

tried this yesterday it works a treat, all i used was a 3" bolt borrowed from a baby gate we use to keep the dog in, hot glue and a mole grips.
Before seagul crap removal. Big ass dent where someone slammed the bonnet down.

Give a solid pull and the dent will pop and release the bolt, but like Lozz said be careful you don't get a smack in the mush when it lets go.

And dent removed.
