Door strips - Clip?

Post by STALLED »

Hey,

On the weekend, one of my passengers managed to kick the rear passenger door rubbing strip off - snapping the clips with it...

Turns out you can get clips online - but which ones are they? The carpark was dark, so I couldn't find a broken sample...

Clips are pennies from the stealers here but given your location I don't know how practical that is.

If memory serves there are 3 or 4 clips in the middle with a star-lock washer on the hinge end but the other end hooks into the panel. I'd make sure the plastic hasn't snapped off the rub strip as you may need a complete new one (or a tube of no more nails).

At work at the minute so I can't check part numbers sorry, let me know what they're selling for online as I might just put a few in an envelope for you if it's silly money.

Yeah but what if you two loose the clips, they're only small, I'd better come too just to make sure.

So Joel, that's 3 x tickets, 3 x flights, and 3 separate rooms in reasonable lodgings (the Intercontinental or the Four Seasons should be ok).

Just PM me your Bank Details and I'll get it all booked in for you.

That's what I like about this place, so helpful :cheesy:

You'll want to clear any intermittent fault codes before installing the new clips, just to be on the safe side.

No, it's no trouble.

So, that's 3 x tickets, 3 x flights, and 3 separate rooms etc..
