Saloon Rear Spoiler

Post by Daz406 »

I have a later type clamp on Spoiler away being sprayed at moment but because I bought it second hand I haven't got fitting instuctions so was just wondering if anyone has a copy of them? mainly I am not sure exactly where on the boot it sits. There is another 406 round town with one on but it would look a bit suss if I started hanging round his car with a tape measure lol HELP PLEASE

I never had fitting instructions with mine, but it's pretty simple

if i remember fitting mine. you had to put some foam tape on the boot itself were the clamp sits.
if you dont put non slip rubber foam were the clamp sits it will stay loose.

get yourself some decent rubber foam tape and cut into place were the bracket sits on the edges.

There should be some foam pads AND there is supposed to be some clear stickers to go on your bootlid to prevent damage to the paint

I didn't get the stickers as they were stuck solid to Mountains car ( ex member on here who I bought the spoiler off )

I did manage to obtain some leading edge tape they stick to airplanes and used that

Thank you all for your advice, Gary it is your old spoiler(The one you got off wilko) I just haven't got round to doing anything with it, HAVE NOW. Had a look at the one round town was just unsure how far back on the boot lid to mount it  . Just need to get the tape etc.
