Paint Colour

Post by leestudd30 »

Just been through service box and apparently my cars colour is Banquise White. I've never heard of this shade, not one of the 3 peugeot whites I saw in Halfords, anyone know if its close to Bianca, Alpine and Arctic (?) white?

Hi mate,

when it comes to paint, shades can look the same, might look the same/simalar on the lid but it couid look 5 shades out once its on the car, you can end up wasting your time/money
best of avoiding Guess work with paint,

go to a paint place where they will make the correct paint up for you (Colour-chip) or Main dealer
they dont charge much more for paint than halfords,

if u have any problems getting paint give us a shout and iwill get you a tin made up from a paint specialist iuse,

Cheers for that! I only need a bit as I'm going to attempt to clean up the bottom of the rear arches. I was hoping I could get away with something like hammerite, thought it might be a bit awkward using a spray can just on the bottom. And as its right at the bottom of the arches, I was thinking that no one would notice the slighty different shade!

I think the Service Box colour names are the French names, not the names Peugeot use in English-speaking markets. For example my Monaco Blue 406 is "Piana Blue" according to Service Box. You might be better off looking at the colour code in the driver's door frame.

I don't need a full scratch repair kit though, just want to get rid of the rust at the bottom and if its a slightly different shade it won't matter so much there. Google translate says it is ice white, which could be all 3 whites I found lol. Will have to look for that code.

It's a D8 so it'll be on the l/h suspension top.

A swift Google later
Paint code is P0WP/P3WP or some suppliers will use EWP

You should take it to a body shop and ask them to look at it - I reckon they'll want to remove all the lacquer on the roof and apply a complete new coat of it; shouldn't need a full respray of the roof panel.

I need to do the same for mine, unfortunately :(

theres about 3 bright reds iirc,

best bet, is to ask someone to run your vin through service box, you will get the correct info on the paint then,

I noticed that with my KMWC Monaco / Piana Blue.

They shouldve named it Paina Blue, as it was a pain to get any shade to match it
